February 2nd - 10th
Hello FWACC Volunteers,
Welcome to our Weekly Volunteer Update! This email will now go out every Tuesday morning and will serve as your central place to see what's happening at the shelter, where help is most needed, and what opportunities are coming up.
Our goal is to keep everyone informed, connected, and supported - while making it easier for you to step in and help when you're able.
February Newsletter Now Available
Our February Monthly Newsletter is out and ready to read.
Please note an important update included in this month's newsletter: North Animal Campus has officially been renamed Henry's Animal Campus. Please begin using this name when referring to the campus moving forward.
This Week's Volunteer Needs
Each week, we'll highlight our most pressing needs right here. Even a short visit can make a meaningful difference.
This week our biggest needs are:
Urgent Pet Advocate at our Silcox Animal Campus

Pet Photographer at Henry's Animal Campus

FWACC Official Volunteer Facebook Group
Many volunteers may not be aware that we have an Official FWACC Volunteer Facebook Group, and we want to make sure you're plugged in.
This group is where we share immediate help requests, last-minute volunteer opportunities, educational information, recruitment needs, and important updates. We'd love for this to become a more active communication channel for our volunteer community.
Upcoming Volunteer Events
We'll use this section to highlight upcoming events where volunteers are needed or welcome to participate.
In the upcoming couple of weeks, we have several events where we need volunteers like you to participate in a variety of ways: from bringing shelter pets to our adoption events, or just assisting with the operations during the event.

One special event is our "Will You Accept This Leash" Valentines Event! This is the first of it's kind and we KNOW you will want to be in on it! For more information about this event, please follow the link below!

Doggy Day Out Highlight
Our Doggy Day Out program continues to be an incredible outlet for our dogs - giving them a break from the shelter, valuable enrichment, and great exposure to potential adopters.
If you're interested in participating in Doggy Day Out, keep an eye on future emails and our volunteer Facebook group for available opportunities.
While we have hundreds of dogs eligible for this program, this week we want to highlight two special kids that have been with us for quite sometime and would benefit greatly from a day out of the kennels.
From Henry's Animal Campus: Duke A005983777
Duke has been with us since November 22nd, and is now Urgent for Capacity. He is dog friendly, good on leash, a bit camera shy but is still sure to steal your heart!
From Silcox Animal Shelter: Hattie Sue A0059867719
Hattie Sue is a mature lady who came to us late November. She is dog friendly and a born supermodel!
You can find more information on our Doggy Day Out Program and a list of dog friendly establishments in and around Fort Worth by visiting our Volunteer Resource Center!
Thank you for the time, care, and compassion you give to our animals and our organization. Your support truly matters, and we're grateful to have such a dedicated volunteer community.
We look forward to staying connected through these weekly updates.
