Monthly Mission's
Join our monthly volunteer adventures and give our dogs a change of scenery! Whether you’re part of the Fort Woof Runners Club, taking shelter dogs off-site for trail walks, or a Bark Ranger, helping walk dogs right here at the shelter, these outings provide exercise, enrichment, and community connection for both pets and people.
Fort Woof Runners Club
Fort Woof Runners Club takes things a step farther. For this off-site mission, our shelter team collaborates with volunteers to identify dogs who would benefit from time and exercise away from the shelter. We load them up and meet at local trails around town to walk (or run!) the dogs, build connections, and enjoy what our great city has to offer. These adventures are held once per month at each shelter, though dates and locations can vary, so keep an eye on the event schedule to stay up to date.

Bark Rangers
Bark Rangers are held at both animal shelters — on the 3rd Saturday at North Campus and the 3rd Sunday at Silcox Shelter. This on-site event has one goal: to walk all available animals! Not only is it PUP-tastic for the dogs, but it’s also a fantastic way to network and build relationships with other volunteers.
