Support our mission behind the scenes. These vital roles keep our shelter running smoothly — from prepping enrichment and organizing supplies to tackling laundry and dishes. Your work ensures every animal has a clean, comfortable environment and that our team can stay focused on lifesaving care.
Laundry & Dishes
Clean blankets and sanitized bowls make a big difference! At North Animal Campus, Laundry and Dishes are combined into a single volunteer role — you’ll wash, dry, and fold linens while also cleaning food, water, and enrichment items. At Silcox, they are separate opportunities, so volunteers can choose to focus on either Laundry or Dish duties.
We’re looking for detail-oriented volunteers who enjoy organizing, can handle light to moderate loads, and want to make a meaningful impact. Your work helps prevent illness, supports staff, and ensures every animal has a safe, clean, and comfortable space to eat, play, and rest while waiting for their forever homes.

Laundry & Dishes at North Campus
Enrichment Prep/Clean Up
Bring joy to shelter pets behind the scenes! You’ll prep toys, KONGs, puzzle feeders, and other enrichment items, as well as clean and organize materials afterward. Your work supports the behavior and animal care teams and keeps animals mentally stimulated while waiting for homes.
Ideal volunteers enjoy hands-on, behind-the-scenes work, can follow instructions independently, and take pride in making a big impact. By preparing and cleaning enrichment, you reduce stress, boredom, and behavioral issues, helping animals thrive and become more adoptable.
