Foster Dog Report Card

Foster report cards are essential because they provide valuable, firsthand insights into a dog’s behavior outside the shelter environment. They help paint a more complete picture of the dog’s personality, training level, social behavior, and overall needs—information that is often not visible in the shelter. These observations are critical for making safe, successful placements with rescue partners and adopters, ensuring each dog is matched with the right home. Foster feedback helps reduce returns, builds trust with receiving partners, and ultimately increases a dog’s chance of finding a lasting home.
