Our events give shelter pets the chance to shine outside the kennel and connect with potential adopters in the community. From adoption events to outreach opportunities, these gatherings help our animals gain visibility, build confidence, and sometimes even find their forever homes.

If you’re interested in participating, you can sign up to bring your foster pet, handle a shelter dog, or help our team set up and run the event. Each event listing below will include quick details along with links to register.

Bring Your Foster to an Event
If you’d like to bring your foster pet to an upcoming event, please complete the Foster Event Sign Up so staff can review your foster’s readiness and help ensure a great experience for both the pet and the public.

Bring a Shelter Pet to the Event
Volunteers can help showcase shelter pets by bringing a dog to the event and helping them meet potential adopters. If you’re interested in handling a shelter pet for an event, this is the opportunity for you!

Help With Event Setup & Support
Events run best with extra hands! Volunteers are needed to help with setup, greeting guests, assisting with pets, and packing up after the event. Sign up below if you’d like to support the team.

Volunteer Needed: Buzz Back to School – August 8

We’re getting ready for a fun, slightly chaotic, and very cute day at Buzz Back to School, and we need a couple volunteers to help us pull it all together. There will be puppies, a puppy corral, and yes… tiny outfits. If you’re free in the morning and don’t mind a little setup, a lot of puppy wrangling, and helping get everything ready for a great event, we’d love to have you. Come hang out, help us dress up some pups, and be part of a good time.

Schedule:
• Set-Up: 8:00–9:30 AM
• Event: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM

The MEGA Adoption Event is back, and this year Fort Worth Animal Care & Adoption Center is proud to partner with the Humane Society of North Texas and more than 35 animal shelters from across Texas for one of the largest lifesaving adoption events in the state. Together, we'll bring over 1,000 adoptable pets together in one place, giving thousands of potential adopters the opportunity to meet their newest family member.

This event has one purpose: finding homes and saving lives. And we can't do it without you.

This is your foster pet's moment to shine.

No one knows your foster pet better than you. You know what makes them happy, what makes them laugh, and why they'll make an incredible companion. By bringing them to the MEGA Adoption Event, you're giving them the chance to meet hundreds of potential adopters in a single weekend while sharing the story that only you can tell.

Many adoptions happen because of a conversation with a foster parent. You could be the reason your foster pet finally finds their forever family.
