Dear FWACC Volunteers,  

Thank you for being a vital part of our volunteer team! This week we have several volunteer opportunities across both shelters, upcoming events, and special ways to help our dogs enjoy socialization and community outings. Check out the details below and see how you can make a difference this week!  

This week, we’re focusing on getting extra volunteer support at each of our PetSmart locations! Help us increase our everyday adoption center numbers by showcasing these amazing animals! Your time—whether short or extended—directly impacts the animals in our care right now.

PetSmart Hulen is in need of volunteers to help shine a light on these amazing pets! Showcase these animals so they find their forever homes faster! As an Animal Spotlight Volunteer, you’ll help capture the personality and behavior of cats and dogs through photos, notes, and observations. This role ensures that each pet’s profile is up-to-date, accurate, and engaging for potential adopters.

PetSmart Alliance is in need of volunteers to help shine a light on these amazing pets! Showcase these animals so they find their forever homes faster! We have several upcoming events where volunteer support is needed. These events rely on volunteers to help with everything from handling shelter pets to assisting with event operations.

Our Doggy Day Out program continues to be an incredible outlet for our dogs - giving them a break from the shelter, valuable enrichment, and great exposure to potential adopters.

If you're interested in participating in Doggy Day Out, keep an eye on future emails and our volunteer Facebook group for available opportunities.

While we have hundreds of dogs eligible for this program, this week we want to highlight two special kids that have been with us for quite some time and would benefit greatly from a day out of the kennels.
