Each Wednesday, we connect with our foster community to share where support is most needed and what’s coming up. Fostering saves lives, and the time, space, and care you provide make an immediate difference for animals who need a safe place to land.

This Weeks Needs

This week we are focused on finding puppy fosters for upcoming puppy specific events. Recently we have had a lot of our event partners reach out to us for events but without dedicated fosters who can hold on to these littles for at least two weeks, we aren't able to commit.

There are more benefits to puppy fostering than holding them until the event though!

Fosters are able to keep them safe from illness that they can catch at the shelter and teach them valuable socialization lessons. And of course, they offer you incredible memories of puppy breath and silliness!

Longest Residents

Today we are highlighting two special animals who have been waiting longer than most. These pets often struggle in the shelter environment and would greatly benefit from the comfort, consistency, and one-on-one attention that only a foster home can provide.

Transport Support

Transport saves lives — but transport cannot happen without foster placement.

We currently have dogs scheduled for upcoming transports that must be placed into foster homes prior to departure. These placements are typically short-term and play a critical role in helping animals reach rescue partners out of state.

If you’re able to help with:

  • Pre-transport foster placement

  • Short-term foster (often 1–2 weeks)

  • Supporting dogs preparing for long-distance travel

Upcoming Adoption Events

We have several upcoming adoption events that are an important part of the foster journey. Helping your foster pet participate—whether by attending an event or sharing their story—gives them valuable exposure and increases their chances of finding a permanent home. Your insight and advocacy truly make the difference.
